Meridia Lawsuits

When Meridia was first introduced to the U.S. market, there were already concerns that serious Meridia side effects resulting in Meridia lawsuits could occur. The litigation problems for the preceding diet drug maker of fen phen affected the company greatly and brought headlines across the country. A consumer advocacy group believed Meridia side effects posed such a risk to patients with minimal weight loss benefits that they petitioned the FDA for the immediate removal of Meridia, further strengthening any Meridia lawsuits filed.
